Gas Explosion Investigation Continues in Springfield, Mass.

(NECN: Julie Loncich, Springfield, Mass.) - The view from the sky shows just how much damage a natural gas explosion caused in Springfield, Mass. Friday's blast flattened a strip club and damaged dozens of other buildings.

Investigators have been back on scene looking for the cause.

Three buildings on Worthington Street will be demolished while several others have been deemed uninhabitable.

One hundred fifty residential buildings sustained damage. Some residents have been allowed back into their homes to gather belongs. City officials hope to have some people returned to their homes as early as Saturday night.

All of those injured in the blast, including responders, have been released from the hospital. Springfield Fire Commissioner Joseph Conant says the emotional toll has been high on his crew.
