Truck Accident Closes Mass. Pike Westbound

UPDATE (4:55 p.m.) - Mass. State Police say two people were transported to the hospital; however, conditions are not known at this time.

UPDATE (4:08 p.m.) - Mass. State Police tweeted all lanes on the Mass Pike westbound are open. Police also say the traffic backup is approximately 10 miles long.

UPDATE (4:06 p.m.) - Two lanes have opened on the Mass Pike westbound at mile marker 115.

UPDATE (3:56 p.m.): The breakdown lane going westbound on the Mass. Pike has been opened for traffic.

(NECN) - The Mass Pike has been closed westbound due to a truck accident near Natick.

According to tweets from the Mass. State Police, the crash involved a motor vehicle and a tanker truck. Officials say Natick Fire and EMS are at the scene; however, it is unknown if there are any injuries.

Because the Pike has been closed westbound, traffic is being diverted off I-90 at exit 13 in Natick, according to state police tweet. State police also tweeted there are no lane closures on I-90 eastbound.
