Activist Helps Those Injured by Boston Blasts

(NECN) – Carlos Arredondo, is an activist in and around Boston. On Aug. 25, 2004, his son, Lance Corporal Alexander Arredondo of the Marines, was killed in action in Iraq, which was also Carlos' birthday.

He talks to NECN’s Greg Wayland about helping those who were injured. He was carrying an American flag. He began helping someone who lost both of his legs on the sidewalk. The American flag he was carrying was very bloodied as he showed it to our cameras.

He says his instinct was to help.
