19 Patients Still at Boston Medical Center

(NECN: Leslie Gaydos, Boston) - More than 170 people were taken to as many as 10 different Boston area hospitals Monday after being injured in the Boston Marathon bombings.

Boston Children's Hospital originally accepted 10 people, and say seven of those people have been safely discharged from the hospital and are doing well, while three children remain in the hospital.

Boston Medical Center originally had 23 people taken to the ER, and 19 of them remain in the hospital, and 10 are listed in critical condition, three are in serious condition and six of them in fair condition.

Five of the patients at Boston Medical Center had leg amputations performed Monday, and more than one of those patients lost both of their legs after the bombing at the marathon.
