(NECN) - A sentence hearing will be held for a man convicted in a deadly home invasion.
Steven Spader and an accomplice were convicted of murdering Kimberly Cates in her Mt. Vernon home.. in Oct. 2009.
Spader received a life sentence without parole.
But that sentence was ruled invalid because of a Supreme Court decision that it's unconstitutional to impose an automatic sentence of life in prison without parole on a minor.
Spader was 17 at the time of the murder.
