Boston Officials React to Deadly Allston Blaze

(NECN: Kathryn Sotnik, Boston) - Boston city officials are still on the scene where a deadly fire claimed the house at 87 Linden Street in the Allston neighborhood.

Questions surround the tragedy regarding whether or not it could have been prevented.

The blaze killed Boston University student Binland Lee, one of the 19 people investigators say was in the house at the time.

According to Boston Inspectional Services commissioner Bryan Glascock, there was only one way out from Lee's attic apartment.

The investigation is focusing on whether or not it was legal for 19 people to be living in the home, including the basement, second floor and attic areas.

NECN reporter Kathryn Sotnik has more.
