(NECN) - A high school chemistry teacher and girls track coach in Milton, Mass. is on administrative leave and facing criminal charges.
Dale Snyder,a 64-year-old teacher at Milton High School, is accused of engaging in unlawful conduct with a young female student.
Police sources say that the alleged victim is a student athlete and that the alleged assault happened in the school.
Snyder was arrested at his Abington home and charged with indecent assault and battery on a child over the age of 14 and two counts of assault and battery.
It is a single complaint and the teacher was set to retire at the end of the year. He's being held on $25,000 bail.
The superintendent of schools sent out a letter to parents making them aware of the arrest.
