Police Search Stream Near Home of Aaron Hernandez

(NECN/AP: Kathryn Sotnik, North Attleboro, Mass.) - It's been one week now since a man was found shot to death in a North Attleboro, Mass. industrial park. There are still many questions about how Aaron Hernandez is connected to the investigation.

There's been more activity near Hernandez's home Monday. State Police were seen earlier searching a stream not far away.

Over the weekend, police searched Hernandez's home and property, taking away several bags of evidence.

Mass. State Police searched that stream for a good amount of time. It’s not exactly clear what they took away from that search, if anything at all.

The stream is just down the street from Hernandez’s home. The stream had very little water and is thick with brush. They searched the area very closely, but it’s not clear what they are searching for.

The digging for clues continues a week after Odin Lloyd’s body was discovered in an industrial park.

State police officers and dogs searched Hernandez's North Attleboro home for more than three hours on Saturday.

An attorney for Hernandez has said he would not comment on the searches.

New England Patriots spokesman Stacey James has said the team does not expect to comment during the police investigation. NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell was waiting for the legal process to take its course.

NECN’s Kathryn Sotnik is following the latest developments.
