(NECN: Lauren Collins, North Attleboro, Mass.) - It's been a week since the body of Odin Lloyd was found in an empty lot less than a mile from Aaron Hernandez's North Attleboro, Mass. home.

On Monday, Massachusetts State Police searched a wooded area in the New England Patriots tight end's neighborhood, in wet suits, with metal detectors. It's unclear what, if anything, they found or were looking for. By 11:30, they cleared the scene without going to the house.

Lloyd's girlfriend and Hernandez's fiancé are sisters. The victim's family tells NECN the two men were close but law enforcement have been tight lipped on what connection Hernandez may have to Lloyd's homicide.

It's been two days since local and state police searched the home. Police sources tell NECN that Hernandez destroyed both his cell phone and the DVR that is hooked up to the video cameras outside his house.

The heavily tinted white Audi SUV has left twice Monday, each time with a woman behind the wheel. A UPS driver left two packages by the garage - no signature.

The media stake out on Ronald C Meyer drive is outnumbered only by the number of spectators who come by and the questions that linger.
