Police Identify Deceased Suspect in Boston Shooting

(NECN) - Authorities are still searching for a second suspect in an officer-involved shooting in Boston's neighborhood of Dorchester on Wednesday.

Boston Police Commissioner Ed Davis identified the two wounded officers as Officer Harry Jean and Officer Terry Cotton, and both have been on the force for 24 years. Both officers have non-life threatening injuries.

Davis also identified the deceased suspect as 21-year-old Roudy Hendricks of Brockton, and says he had a lengthy and violent record.

The second suspect, whose identity is unknown, is described as a black man with light complexion, a slim build and braided hair, and was described wearing a maroon shirt with stripes. According to authorities, he escaped the scene on foot.

Authorities are urging anyone with information leading to the second suspect to called 1-800-494-TIPS or to text the word "TIP" to CRIME (27463).
