Suspect in CCSU Campus Scare Arrested Again

(NECN) - The man police say was behind a scare at Central Connecticut State University has been arrested again.

He was arrested this time for allegedly returning to campus after authorities warned him not to do so.

The school released a surveillance video Tuesday.

It shows a masked man inside a campus elevator, then walking through a lobby of a campus building.

The man prompted Tuesday's 3-hour lockdown.

School officials identified him as 21-year-old student David Kyem.

Kyem has been charged with breach of peace.

Kyem is the son of a professor at CCSU.

Campus police say they found a number of items on the younger Kyem, including something that appears to resemble a gun and what appears to be a large sword.

Kyem has been released on $1,000 bail.

The elder Kyem says his son was still wearing his Halloween costume and was not in possession of any weapons.

Police say there was no threat to campus.
