(NECN) – Wednesday is day one of a two-day sentencing hearing for Boston's most notorious gangster, James ‘Whitey’ Bulger.
We talked to one of the jurors who helped convict the mobster.
Gusina Tremblay joined us from outside Moakley Federal Courthouse in Boston.
She said she mostly was at the court to show her support to the families of the victims.
“Mostly I just want to thank them all for their presence during the trial, each and every day, it kept me very focused,” she said. “And I also wanted to apologize to the eight families that were not proven. Unfortunately when there is a jury of 12, you don’t always get your way. But I did my best and I just want to support them. And I would also like to apologize especially to the family of Francis Leonard. We would had to rely mostly on our notes, or solely on our notes, and there just wasn’t enough information for us to rule correctly on that. And I would have never let that get past me if I had been better informed. And I have also made peace with Steven Davis. I have met him personally and I have apologized to him, also.”
