Barney Frank Talks US Deficit

(NECN) - The battle over the U.S. Deficit is ramping up, as the super committee tried to negotiate a way to slash billions from the U.S. Budget.

U.S. Representative Barney Frank (D) believes cuts should be made in excessive military spending. In mid-October, he plans to hold two town hall meetings in Newton, Mass. and New Bedford, Mass. to discuss the issue.

His argument for deficit reduction negotiations is that military spending cuts must be on the table in order to reduce the deficit without deep and painful cuts to popular domestic programs.

Frank joined "The Morning Show" to discuss the issue. Watch the attached video to catch the entire discussion.
