(NECN) - Google's answer to Facebook, Google+, has reached 60 million users.
That's according to Google Plus's "unofficial statistician." The social networking site got off to a roaring start, hitting the 10 million mark within its first two weeks.
Numbers soon dwindled, and itt took three months for the site to reach 40 million users. Google has not released its own count recently.
Google was named top web brand of the year. According to Nielson, 153 million unique visitors hit the site every month.
Facebook followed in second place with 137 million unique visits per month, and Yahoo ranked third with 130 million.
