Body Found at NH Fire Scene

(NECN) - The New Hampshire Attorney General's Office is investigating after a body was found at the scene of a fire in Seabrook on Thursday.

Shortly after 10 a.m. Thursday, Seabrook firefighters responded to a mobile home fire at 50 B St. After bringing the fire under control, they discovered the body of a deceased adult male inside a bedroom in the home.

The attorney general's office said information was initially conflicting as to the number of people who lived in the home. Eventually, the authorities determined that it is most likely that two adult men had been living there. One of the men was found alive at the scene of the fire. The other is unaccounted for and is believed to be the deceased man who was found inside the home.

The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner conducted an autopsy on the body on Friday and has identified him. His identity is being withheld pending notification of his next of kin. The cause and manner of the person’s death has not been determined.

The investigation into the fire and the discovery of the deceased person in the mobile home is ongoing. As of now, the fire investigators have found no indication that this was an intentionally set fire.
