Vt. Officer-involved Shooting Under Investigation

(NECN) - The officer who shot a man who refused to put down a knife inside the Bennington, Vt. police department is on administrative leave as an investigation is underway.

Gregory Filo, 42, and another man walked right into the lobby of the Bennington Police Department Tuesday evening.

Police say Filo was carrying a knife and threatening officers.

Filo was shot once after he refused to drop the knife. He is in stable condition.

The officer who shot him is now on administrative leave as the investigation continues.
