(NECN) - A woman from Clinton, Conn. is facing animal cruelty charges after five dogs were found living in squalor.
Police say two adult Doberman Pinschers and three young puppies were deprived of food and water for more than 24 hours.
According to investigators, Emily Blaine was supposed to be caring for the dogs, which belong to her boyfriend.
Blaine is charged with five counts of animal cruelty.
