Teen Sustains Life-threatening Injuries in Crash

A 19-year-old woman sustained life-threatening injuries in a two-vehicle crash on Route 24 in Randolph, Massachusetts Saturday evening.

Massachusetts State Police responded to the accident near Exit 20 around 5:30 p.m. A preliminary investigation indicates a vehicle left the road after being hit by a small, dark-colored SUV, which left the scene before officials arrived.

It's believed the SUV that caused the accident was driven by a female and possibly had a female passenger. Witnesses told officials it appeared another vehicle pursued the SUV after the collision.

The female passenger in the vehicle that was hit was ejected from the vehicle. She was taken to Milton Hospital and transferred to Beth Israel Hospital in serious condition. The victim's name has not been released.

The investigation is ongoing.
