Boston Gay Mens Chorus to Visit the Middle East

The Boston Gay Men’s Chorus is taking an opportunity to spread a message of change and equality. The group announced plans on Wednesday to visit the Middle East.

Their director, Reuben Reynolds, joined NECN to discuss their plans. He says the Boston Marathon bombings inspired them to take the trip.

“Why not take the time to go understand the people, understand their culture, and share with them to hopefully break down some of the prejudices that we have,” Reynolds explained.

In addition, Reynolds discussed safety concerns.

The chorus will be visiting Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, Bethlehem, and Istanbul.
