3-Alarm Fire Breaks Out at Cape Cod Hotel

According to the Hyannis Fire Department, the fire at Hyannis Harbor Hotel on Ocean Street broke out around 7 p.m.

One firefighter was taken to a hospital for evaluation after a three-alarm fire at a Cape Cod hotel Monday night. 

According to the Hyannis Fire Department, the fire at Hyannis Harbor Hotel on Ocean Street broke out around 7:30 p.m.

The hotel was under construction, but some workers were staying on site at the time. 

There were no civilian injuries. Significant damage was done to the hotel. 

The fire was in a wall area between additions onto the hotel. The exact cause of the fire is under investigation, but a ceiling fan on the second floor may have been the source of the fire.

Damage is estimated to be around $100,000 as of now.
