A total of five arrests, in two separate incidents, were made in Auburn, Maine on Saturday night and early Sunday morning after one adult and three juveniles got into a fistfight at a wedding, and a man assaulted his ex-wife and her new husband in a nightclub.
According to the Portland Press Herald, Auburn police report that Arbai Abdi, 18 of Lewiston, and three juveniles were arrested after a fight broke out around 11:30 p.m. at a wedding at the VFW Hall at 588 Minot Ave.
Abdi and the juveniles are charged with disorderly conduct. Abdi is being held on $110 bail at Androscoggin County Jail, and the juveniles were released to their parents.
Auburn police then responded to another fight at the Sapphire nightclub at 150 Center St. at 1 a.m. where they arrested Jonathan Mercier, 29, of Auburn, after a fight broke out between Mercier and his ex-wife and her new husband.
Mercier is charged with disorderly conduct and domestic violence assault.
No one was seriously injured in either incident.
