3 Teens Arrested in Connection With High School Vandalism

School officials say the vandals broke into the school through the roof hatch

Three teenagers were arrested in connection with vandalism that closed Bonny Eagle High School in Standish, Maine, Tuesday.

According to necn affiliate WCSH, Jonathan Betancourt, 18, Cullen Dumbrocyo, 19, of Standish, and Ronny Head, 18, of Buxton, were all charged with burglary, theft and criminal mischief, according to police.

School officials say the vandals broke into the school through the roof hatch.

The vandals emptied fire extinguishers from the third floor to the first floor down a stairwell. They also dumped the fridge in the teacher's wing.

The damage happened in a short period of time and the security system was activated when the vandals entered the hallway.

Nothing was stolen from the school, but the damage was expected to take all day to clean.

Bail was set at $500 for Betancourt. Bail for Dumbrocyo and Head was not allowed.

It was not immediately known if they have lawyers.
