3 Worcester Police Officers Injured in Pursuit, Hit-and-Run

Three Worcester, Massachusetts police officers are recovering after being injured in a chase throughout the city.

Officers were called to the area of Water and Harrison Streets around 2 a.m. Sunday for a reported fight.

When they arrived, police say 23-year-old Christian Millett was driving the wrong way down a one-way street and hit three parked cars before driving off.

Police say he ended up driving into and colliding with two police cruisers in what looked to be intentional acts. Then, Millett allegedly crashed his car into a large retaining wall on St. Vincent's Hospital property before trying to run off.

An officer caught up with him and both fell over an 8-foot wall after a brief struggle.

Millett is now facing several charges, including assault with a dangerous weapon (car), assault and battery with a dangerous weapon (car), resisting arrest, operating to endanger, failure to stop for police, and leaving the scene of an accident. He will be arraigned in Worcester District Court on Monday.

The officers injured are expected to be okay.
