Police Arrest Four on Riot Charges After N.H. Melee

Fight near car accident scene involved several men

Four men were arrested Friday night after a melee near the scene of an unrelated car accident in Northfield, New Hampshire, police said.

The Citizen reports the cause of the fight, which involved several people while others tried to separate them, was unrelated to the accident, where one person sustained minor injuries.

State and local police responded to a report of a fight at about 7:45 p.m. at the intersection of Park Street and Deerborn Road. They found a "chaotic" scene, where several people were fighting.

Those arrested include:

Trever Hoyt, 20, of Stuart, Florida, formerly of Northfield, was charged with felony rioting, disorderly conduct, and breach of bail conditions from a May 16 incident for criminal threatening;

Demetrius Furse, 33, of Indian Town, Florida, was charged with felony rioting, resisting arrest, and operating a motor vehicle without a license;

Justin Gebo, 21, of Northfield, was charged with felony rioting, disorderly conduct, obstruction of government administration and resisting arrest;

James Weatherbee, 21, of Northfield, was charged with felony rioting, disorderly conduct, obstruction of government administration and resisting arrest.

Police are investigating the incident and said additional charges and arrests may be possible.
