3rd Suspect Arrested in Worcester, Mass. Hotel Shooting

Warrants on charges including armed assault with intent to murder had been issued last spring

Police have arrested a third suspect in connection with the shooting of a 15-year-old boy at a Worcester hotel last year.

Police say 28-year-old Juan Rohena was tracked to a Clinton apartment on Tuesday.

Warrants on charges including armed assault with intent to murder had been issued last spring.

Authorities allege Rohena shot the victim multiple times at about 4 a.m. on March 14, 2015, at the Quality Inn and Suites.

Police said at the time that the shooting appeared to be gang-related. The victim survived.

Rohena is scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday in Worcester District Court. It was not immediately clear whether he has a lawyer.

One of the other suspects has already pleaded guilty and been imprisoned. One suspect awaits trial after pleading not guilty.
