Police in Freetown, Massachusetts, have arrested four people accused of burglarizing a home Saturday evening.
Police responded to a home on Weetamore Drive at 9:30 p.m. after a burglar alarm went off. The responding officer observed two people inside the home who fled as he approached.
Officers determined four sets of footprints had been left by the rear door by the fleeing suspects.
Following a search of the area police arrested Magda Pereira, 22, of Fall River, Ann Madeira, 25, also of Fall River, Jimmy Dacruz, 23, of New Bedford and Brett Fortes, 26, also of New Bedford.
Police recovered stolen items and located a vehicle used by the suspects. Police searched the vehicle and found gloves matching those found near the scene of the burglary as well as items commonly used in burglaries.
The four suspects will be arraigned Monday morning at the Fall River Justice Center.
