4 Indicted in ‘Horrific' Murder, Robbery

Robert McKenna was found dead in his Damon Point Road home on Sept. 17

Four people have been indicted on charges in connection with the gruesome robbery and murder of a Marshfield, Massachusetts, man in September, according to Plymouth County District Attorney Timothy J. Cruz.

Robert McKenna was found dead in his Damon Point Road home on Sept. 17. Prosecutors described the scene as "horrific," saying that he died of excessive blood loss from stab wounds to his upper arm, hands and head.

On Sept. 28, James Ferguson, 40, of Dorchester, was arrested on murder and burglary charges.

Michael Moscaritolo, 32, and his girlfriend, 31-year-old Lauren Kalil, both residents of Quincy, were arrested in October. They are facing charges in connection with the murder.

Mark O’Brien, 39, of South Boston, was arrested Nov. 3. He is facing murder and burglary charges related to the death.

The DA says the four broke into McKenna’s house in the early morning, robbed and murdered him.

Moscaritolo, O’Brien and Ferguson also allegedly told witnesses to not cooperate with police. Kalil allegedly told investigators different versions of the incident.

Moscaritolo and Ferguson allegedly stole assault weapons from McKenna's home. Police recovered five guns that were stolen from the home. McKenna owned four of them, including an AR-15 and an AK-47.

The four will be arraigned in Plymouth Superior Court at a later date.
