A 4-year-old boy has died after being struck by a car in New Britain Thursday night.
Police said emergency crews responded to a home at 221 Governor St. around 6:15 p.m. for a report of a young child injured in a private driveway. The child suffered serious injuries and was rushed to the hospital for treatment, where he was pronounced dead.
The driver of the car, identified as a 49-year-old New Britain resident, was not hurt and is cooperating with police. No charges have been filed.
