5-Car Crash Closes I-93, Sends 3 to Hospital

A crash involving five cars on I-93 southbound in Salem, New Hampshire, caused lane closures and major traffic delays Monday evening.

Salem Fire officials say three people were transported to Lawrence General Hospital. One person is believed to have sustained serious injuries while the other two sustained minor injuries.

According to New Hampshire State Police, there were five cars involved in the accident. It was not clear how many people were in each car.

The far left lane at mile .2 of I-93 southbound was reopened just before 8 p.m. Monday, but traffic delays are heavy.
