50-Year-Old Shot Christmas Morning in Massachusetts Home

Police are saying that the incident was targeted and not an act of random violence

Police in Easton, Massachusetts are investigating the shooting of a 50-year-old man inside of his home early Christmas morning.

The victim had been shot twice by an assailant who allegedly fired into the pool house from the outside. The victim had been struck once in the shoulder and once in the side of his torso. He was transported to an area hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries.

Police believe that this was a targeted incident and not an act of random violence. No word has been released on a possible suspect at this time.

"We do not believe that there is an active threat or danger to the community," said Sullivan, "but we are always asking residents to be vigilant. If you see something, say something."
