55 Addicts Placed in Treatment Programs Instead of Jail Cells Through ANGEL Program

As of Friday, police have placed 55 people into treatment programs since the launch of the ANGEL program, according to police in Gloucester, Massachusetts.

The ANGEL program allows people that suffer from addiction to turn over their supply and paraphernalia without the threat of arrest, which puts those who needs help into treatment programs instead of jail cells.
