6 Puppies, Their Mother Killed in Mobile Home Fire

State police say 29-year-old Allysa Ashline escaped the burning mobile home with just a blanket and the clothes she was wearing

State troopers say six puppies and their mother are dead after a mobile home burst into flames in Randolph Center, Vermont. 

The blaze broke out early Friday. State police say 29-year-old Allysa Ashline escaped the burning mobile home with just a blanket and the clothes she was wearing. 

She told investigators she could barely see inside the house and narrowly escaped. 

Randolph Center fire officials have requested an investigation into the cause of the blaze. The Rutland Herald reports a preliminary source of the fire has been traced to near the front door. 

Police say the fire isn't considered suspicious.
