6-Year-Old Walks to Raise Money for Bombing Victims in Syria

Six-year-old Anabella Massaro loves helping others. Several days ago, the child from Pembroke, Massachusetts, began walking two and a half miles every day to raise money for bombing victims in Syria.

Her mother, Megan Massaro, says Anabella's passion to help Syrian refugees began last year, when they saw a photo of a Syrian girl standing on top of rubble.

She says that's when Anabella started her first fundraiser. She baked and sold cookies and was able to raise $800.

She hopes to raise $1,000 this time around for Hand in Hand Syria, an organization that sends medical aid to bombing victims in Syria.

And, Anabella says, this is just the beginning. She wants to read 100 books for her next fundraiser.
