7 Displaced After Overnight Fire in Somerville, Massachusetts

Three families were forced from their homes after an overnight fire in Somerville, Massachusetts.

Seven people in all were displaced after the three-alarm fire on Connecticut Avenue.

No one was hurt.

The fire chief says the weather made it more difficult to put out the flames since water immediately freezes in the cold temperatures. The temperature was 18 degrees at one point with 12 mph wind.

The cause is not known at this time, but firefighters believe the flames started in the third-floor apartment.

The fire is under investigation.
