Authorities in Maine say an elderly Portland man has died from his injuries from a fire.
State police say 80-year-old Myron McLaughlin died Sunday while being treated for burns to 60 percent of his body at Maine Medical Center after a fire inside of his Franklin Towers apartment on Saturday.
Investigators say it appears McLaughlin's fleece pajamas caught fire as he was smoking while sitting in a living room chair. There was no damage to the apartment.
