Authorities say an 83-year-old Maine man was struck and killed while walking along a road in Pittston.
The Kennebec County Sheriff's Office says the crash happened around 5 p.m. Monday along Route 194. The driver, a 61-year-old woman, was not injured.
Authorities say there is no reason to believe there was any impairment of the driver. They say other circumstances are being evaluated as part of the investigation.
The Pittston man's identity is being withheld pending notification of his family.
