Another round of minor flood with high tides overnight. Although it will be minor, it will slow the cleanup and recovery process. Areas that haven’t drained will likely see another round of inundation.
Waves will be subsiding as the winds ease, so we won’t be dealing with a battering surf and storm surge. Winds won’t be as strong as they were during the day, but will remain gusty through the overnight.
We will be caught up in the flow of our Nor’easter for the next 24 hours, which means it will remain mostly cloudy through Sunday. A rain or snow shower is possible, especially along the coast.
Monday, that storm system will slowly move away. We’re still expecting mostly cloudy skies during the day, but it should be mainly dry.
Temperatures will be seasonably cool – around 40°. Tuesday will be brighter, but cool. Skies will be mostly sunny. Temperatures will reach the low 40s.
Tuesday night, clouds will increase as another storm system approached. It appears we are in a pattern of a storm every 4 days (or so). This storm is showcased on ALL forecast models. Unsettled weather is nearly a lock for Wednesday and perhaps Thursday. It won’t be like the formidable Nor’easter we just experienced, but it could be a potent storm.
Currently, snow is possible and significant accumulations are likely. We aren’t sure where the heaviest axis of snow will set up. We’re also waiting to see where and if a rain/snow line will set up. As of right now, you can expect it to be windy and either wet or white. Stay tuned!
