Actor and comedian Alec Baldwin was in New Hampshire Sunday night to headline the state's annual Democratic party dinner.

Baldwin cracked a few jokes, but his main message was sober and serious.

"I flew here this morning after doing Saturday Night Live last night," he said.

Hours after doing his famous Trump impersonation on SNL, Baldwin was headlining the annual dinner, which drew a record crowd of more than 800.

But there was nothing funny about the comedian's message.

"It is time to overthrow the government of Donald Trump," he said. "Not in any violent or unlawful way."

It was a call for Americans to vote.

"Let's make America great again by making Donald Trump a casino operator again."

When asked if he would run for office, Baldwin responded that he wouldn't. He joked that his wife told him she would divorce him if he did.

"I've always wanted to do that. I've always dreamed of doing that..." he said.

Baldwin says he's not sure any of the current potential Trump opponents are up for the task, but hopes someone materializes soon.

"To me, every day I wake up, I still am horrified and I feel like I'm in some dream that Trump is the President of the United States. I almost can't even say it."

New Hampshire Republicans weighed in on the Democrat's featured speaker, calling Alec Baldwin a homophobic and sexist bully.
