American Airlines Flight Heading to Boston Diverted Due to Unruly Passenger

An American Airlines flight from Los Angeles to Boston was temporarily diverted because of an unruly passenger on Tuesday, officials confirm.

The passenger on American Airlines flight 2507, whose name has not been released, was taken into custody in Denver and will be charged there, airline spokesperson Matt Miller said.

The nature of the disruption wasn't immediately clear; however, a source tells us the passenger was intoxicated.

The plane, which is an Airbus A321 with 169 passengers, was on the ground for 40 minutes and has since left for Boston. It has since landed at Boston Logan.

Other passengers on board said the passenger who was arrested, described as a man in his 20s, was acting agressively with toward a flight attendant during the flight.

Once the plane landed in Denver, witnesses said he seemed to cooperate with police.
