Big Temperature Changes Ahead

Much Cooler Air Arrives Sunday

Summer weather remains in place on Saturday, with highs yet again reaching the 80s for most cities and towns across New England. A few spots in Southern New England will even be around 90, but the humidity is much lower so it’s far more pleasant.

Skies will generally be partly cloudy, but clouds will increase and thicken late day into the night. Lows will hold in the 60s and 70s in Southern New England, but we’ll have 50s and 60s farther north as cool air pools and gets ready to head south. A few areas in Northern Maine will even dip into the 40s!

Sunday picks up where Saturday night leaves off, rather cloudy for many in Southern New England. Sunshine will be most widespread during the morning in the mountains. Any spotty showers south will end early, with sun gradually working south and west over the course of the day. That means conditions will become more pleasant with time.

Highs will mainly be in the 70s on Sunday.

By Monday, highs are in the 60s and 70s with mostly cloudy skies, scattered showers, and an onshore wind. We’re still a bit unsettled with showers Tuesday, before improvements and a gradual warming trend mid-week.
