This evening snow squalls continue across the North Country, putting down around an inch of quick accumulation and making travel slick due to an arctic front as it heads south.
The snow showers dissipate after 9 p.m. as the front slips to southern New England. By the time it passes through, it dries up, so no snow is expected south tonight.
We all will see colder temperatures tonight and tomorrow after the frontal passage.
Lows tonight fall to the single digits far north, teens and 20s south. As a northwest breeze flows in we will have wind chills around zero north, to the teens south.
Highs Saturday afternoon will recover a tad to the 20s and 30s. However, it will feel like the teens and 20s all day thanks to that wind chill. At least we have full sunshine as high pressure builds in across Canada.
Sunday will bring more cloud cover in from the south as a coastal low slowly heads north off the Carolina coast. This storm remains offshore but will track close enough Sunday night into Monday (and possibly early Tuesday) that we get gusty northeast winds, rain southeast and a wintry mix north.

That mix changes to snow in northern New England Monday into early Tuesday as the low heads away. We may see some coastal flooding potential with the onshore wind on Monday and waves over 10 feet offshore.
Another coastal low will track offshore on Wednesday into Thursday, but this doesn't seem to bring in much precipitation for us. The next round of precipitation will be rain south and snow north as a cold front moves through Friday.
Temperatures will stay in the 40s for most of the 10-day forecast next week. Friday we may see a slight warm up to around 50 before a cold front cools us to the 40s for the next weekend.
