An early morning apartment fire in Berlin, New Hampshire, has displaced seven people.
The fire chief says a call came in shortly after 5 a.m.
When authorities arrived on the scene at 825 Second Ave., heavy smoke could be seen coming out of the 1st floor apartment.
The occupant of that apartment, in addition to all other tenants of the building, were able to escape without injury. Smoke detectors operated properly.
The blaze was contained to the living room area of the 1st floor apartment.
The cause of the fire is yet to be determined. The investigation is ongoing.
Seven people will be out of their homes for a couple of days, according to the fire chief.
