Unionized health care workers at a Rhode Island hospital have approved a contract with management, finalizing a four-year deal.
According to necn affiliate WJAR, SEIU 1199NE said the deal with Women and Infants Hospital in Providence averts a strike.
The tentative deal was reached Friday morning.
The contract includes an investment in job training, job security and two- percent pay raises.
