Donald Trump

Are Donald Trump, Tom Brady Not Friends Anymore?

Most of the talk in the wake of Sunday's big New York Times piece on Donald Trump was about the fact that the president watches up to eight hours of cable TV and drinks a dozen Diet Cokes a day.

But the story also included an interesting note about Trump's much talked about friendship with New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady.

The story mentions in passing that Trump is disappointed by the fact that Brady has distanced himself from the president.

"Mr. Trump still takes shots at Mark Cuban, a fellow rich-guy reality star, and expresses disappointment that Tom Brady, the New England Patriots quarterback, has distanced himself," the story said.

Brady took a lot of heat in the run up to the 2016 presidential election for saying that he thought Trump would make a "great" president and for displaying a "Make American Great Again" hat in his locker. So much so that he said his wife, supermodel Gisele Bundchen, told him not to talk about politics anymore. And when the Patriots visited the White House after their Super Bowl win last year, Brady didn't make the trip.

When Trump attacked NFL players for kneeling during the National Anthem, Brady spoke out, saying the president's comments were "divisive."

So do Trump and Brady still talk? It's hard to say, because the Times story didn't go into any more detail.
