Authorities said Joseph Loughery, 59, of Dublin, was shot by police after he ignored repeated commands by officers to disarm.

Loughery had been approached by officers at about 1:15 p.m. while he was sitting in a red pickup truck in the parking area of a Shell gas station on Southbridge Street.
