As police approached the suspects' vehicle, shots were fired at a Brockton police cruiser but no one was hit or injured

There is a heavy police presence in Brockton, Massachusetts, where police are looking for an armed robbery suspect.

Officers from a K9 unit could be seen walking the neighborhood with assault weapons late Saturday night.

Three other suspects have already been taken into custody in connection with the robbery.

Police were originally called to 521 Belmont Street to investigate an armed robbery at a T-Mobile Store shortly after 7 p.m. Saturday.

The initial call stated that four armed men came into the store and assaulted a clerk while robbing the store.

The clerk was taken to a local hospital to get checked out and is expected to be okay.

Police immediately conducted a manhunt for the suspects, which led them to an area in the southeast section of the city. As police got near a white Chevy vehicle, the suspects escaped and shots were fired at a Brockton police cruiser.

It's unclear how many shots were fired, but no one was hit or injured.

Police captured three of the suspects after they abandoned the vehicle.

Multiple law enforcement agencies are assisting with the search, including police from Stoughton, East and West Bridgewater, as well as Massachusetts State Police.
