Police have arrested a man they allege broke into a Yarmouth, Maine, pharmacy through the roof and stole $5,000 worth of drugs.

Yarmouth police on Tuesday arrested 33-year-old Charles Gardner, of Portland, and charged him with burglary, theft and aggravated criminal mischief, in connection with the December 2012 break-in at the Hannaford Pharmacy.

The Portland Press Herald reports that the FBI had offered an unspecified reward for information leading to the arrest of the person responsible.

Police said they would not release any more details about the case until Gardner's arraignment, scheduled for Wednesday.

He is being held on $20,000 bail at Cumberland County Jail and it's not clear if he has a lawyer.
