Authorities have arrested a man in connection with a fatal drive-by shooting that occurred in Haverhill, Massachusetts earlier this month.
The victim, 20-year-old Nike Colon, was sitting in the front seat of a pickup truck at the intersection of Washington and Shepherd streets on May 17 when someone in a passing vehicle fired a shot, according to the Essex County District Attorney's office.
Police arrested Eddy Manuel Almonte, 27, of Haverhill, during a car stop in Winchester, Virginia, authorities announced Wednesday.
According to police, Almonte is awaiting the extradition process to return to Massachusetts and face charges.
