Arrest Made in Hernandez Courthouse Bomb Threat

A suspect accused of calling in a bomb scare which temporarily halted the trial of Aaron Hernandez Thursday has been arrested

A suspect accused of calling in a bomb scare which temporarily halted the trial of Aaron Hernandez Thursday in Fall River, Massachusetts, has been held without bail.

Fall River Police say Paul Haddad, 56, of Westwood, is facing charges. He is due back in court on April 2.

Superior Court Judge Susan Garsh said in court when proceedings resumed just after 2 p.m. that the bomb threat wasn't connected with the Hernandez case.

Jeffrey Morrow, director of security for the Massachusetts Trial Court, says there is no know connection between the bomb threat and ongoing cases at the Fall River Justice Center.

Hernandez, a former New England Patriots player, is on trial for the 2013 murder of North Attleboro man Odin Lloyd.
