Maine State Police have arrested a Portland attorney on charges of possessing child pornography.
Steve McCausland of the Maine Department of Public Safety says 63-year-old Lawrence Winger of Falmouth came to the attention of the Maine Computer Crimes Unit last month.
McCausland said an initial examination of his computer found dozens of photos and videos depicting child pornography. He said a more comprehensive examination of the computer will be conducted.
Winger was booked at the Cumberland County Jail on Wednesday and was released on $500 bail. He didn't immediately return a message left at his law office in Portland.
